Computational Artifact

Due: First 15 min. of 10/24 (A-daY) and First 15 min. of 10/25 (B-Day) to Google Classroom

In preparation for this task, you should have completed all of the Photoshop lessons and you should still have your practice Explore written responses from several weeks ago on your chosen innovation. Take a few minutes reviewing your Lessons and Skills below. Take a few minutes to read about the different Elements and Principles of Art & Design which will help you answer the questions in your written responses.

We will be completing the FULL MOCK EXPLORE TASK by creating a computational artifact in Photoshop and revising your written responses and turning them in for ME to grade using the CollegeBoard rubric.

Look at the samples below.

Sample A - Received 1 pt for Row 1 (notice this one has reference numbers for the images that match in their written response bibliography, THIS IS BEST PRACTICES so your computational artifact won't be possibly flagged for plagiarism!!)

Written Response Revisions

All projects will be turned in via the Google Classroom. The artifact and written responses must both be in PDF file format and submitted as two separate documents. If they are not turned in as a PDF the assignment will be returned, ungraded, and will not be graded until they are turned in correctly.

Grading Information: There will be TWO grades associated with your Explore Task.

First you will receive a grade out of 8pts based only on the Explore rubric. This will have feedback included and should be a good guideline as to the points you would receive from the College Board.
The second grade will be for the Photoshop Artifact and the development process paragraph. Please use the checklist below as a guideline for how these will be graded (look especially close at the skills and creativity section - Elements of Art & Design)

What you are submitting

A CREATED computational artifact (see definition and examples above on what is expected) using Photopea
REVISING your written responses from a month ago (2a - 2e except 2b was blank)

YOU SHOULD HAVE YOUR WRITTEN RESPONSES SAVED ELECTRONICALLY AND HAVE FEEDBACK FROM YOUR PEERS AS WELL AS YOUR COLLEGEBOARD RUBRIC TO REFERENCE

****If you need a blank template, look at the bottom of the "Performance Task" tab****

Adding to the 2a prompt about your computational artifact (why did you bring in the images you did into your artifact - Look at the sample below with the highlighted sentence)
Writing the 2b prompt about your development process (how you created your computational artifact in Photopea; this is where you explain the skills you used along with at least 3 additional effects that were NOT taught in the lessons AND the Elements of Art & Design (look at image above)).
