Educational copying: are the current exceptions fit for purpose?

A seminar on copyright exceptions for educational purposes was held at Victoria University’s Pipitea Campus on 23 August 2016 in RH MZ05 from 12.00 – 1.oopm.

  • Associate Professor Susan Corbett, Victoria University of Wellington and General Secretary APCA spoke about the permitted copyright exceptions for education in the Asian Pacific Region.
  • Associate Professor Alexandra Sims, Auckland University and APCA President, & Melanie Johnson, Copyright Officer, University of Auckland spoke on the need to update the New Zealand Copyright Act 1994 to reflect technological developments in the exceptions provisions.

The seminar was followed by the APCA AGM (1 pm to 1.30 pm)
