How To Protecting Your Family From Hidden Mold
Have you been told that mold can only grow in moist areas? Surprisingly, that's not true.

Do you want to keep your house mold-free? But don't actually know much about mold?

** Are You Breathing In Mold Spores Without Even Realizing It? **

A lot of people have been told that mold requires a fair amount of moisture to grow. This is because places that have high humidity seem to have more mold infestations.

But the truth is that mold only requires moisture to start growing; it doesn't need much to keep growing. Mold is actually rather resilient, and once it starts growing, it's hard to stop.

Mold is like a boulder on a hill... It takes some work to get it going, but once you do, there's no stopping it.

Mold is common in areas of high humidity, or after a flood, or any significant exposure to water. But it can also start from smaller things.

For instance, you could have a small crack in your bathroom tile so that every time you shower, water leaks into the wood supporting your shower. You would never notice it until was too late, and you would have to replace everything in order to get rid of the mold.

Mold can also hide. You could have a leaky pipe that starts a mold infestation. And you may never notice the leak because it's only a tiny drip, but over time mold would start to multiply.

To further complicate matters, you may never detect the mold because it would start growing inside the pipes.

** Mold Poisoning Is Dangerous And Can Strike Anyone **

You could go your entire life without being affected by mold, and then one day you wake up with a severe reaction to it. Doctors will warn you to stay away from mold no matter what.

Mold grows by producing small spores that float in the air and attach themselves to whatever they can. These spores are invisible to the naked eye, but they can cause a great deal of damage.

If you don't spot mold early, it can be a nightmare to get rid of.
Sometimes you have to remove entire sections of a room in order to eradicate it from your home. And since it can hide it can be extremely difficult to locate in order to remove.

Mold poisoning can even kill in the most severe circumstances. For many reasons it is important to catch mold early, and even prevent it from growing in the first place.

But many people don't know much about mold and the danger it can pose. If you don't know much about mold, you could be putting you and your family in danger.

It doesn't take much to keep your home clean... you just need to know a few fundamentals about mold.

That's why I've written this book. I want everyone to know what I've learned about mold, and how to stop it without all of the trouble (and headache!) of trying to figure it out on their own.

DSCF5765 [Green Hub] memo: Unmobilized. Thousands of human labor potential standing still.
Green. Or energy independence. Or at least, try not to waste or make sense (at energy use). Or. Started living in many parts of the USA - I started to notice that there are so many homes and literally - ''shacks'' - just housing people for hours and hours. There are so many quiet hours - nothing going on. No home improvements or 'This Old House'. Many people in that sector or section of USA - lives - hand to mouth - people say - or - almost like 'fringe' - falling off - but not entirely - but not coming back to the center of the town - I don't know. But in rural USA that can be the whole norm for entire small town or entire hamlet - or even a city. Then I just have my usual illusion. If Jefferson or Franklin, or even Washington was here, wouldn't they go around and try to mobilize people. To get your house in shape. There are ridiculous loop. Many human labor potentials, just hanging around. Not doing anything to - insulate walls, ceilings, make draft stoppers, caulking cracks and etc - nothing. Nothing happens. These people may try to pay extra for cable channels - or - some money for some small things - but they wouldn't necessarily sweat and fix the houses they live in - and remain unupdated essentially past 30 or 40 years. (And there are worse cases). CNN once reported there is a village in Gulf coast area where newly married couple gets their house built by whole towns people. So what about - what's the expectation or standard or culture about building okay and good homes and doing upkeep of them - in the United States - towards - fellow Americans? Only seems there is a gaping gaps. And I recall the name of Virginia Tech. Yeah. Jefferson. But do they have any project - as main thing - to look at the bottom of the American house building and upkeep - and try to raise that standard - and keep things sane and civilized? I don't know. What kind of architects they educate etc. Something went wrong. Updating walls, getting walls insulated, house fixed can raise the county tax. So one landlord insisted he doesn't wanna fix anything. Because he spends money on property, then county raises the tax. because house looks better and now can have better price on the market. wait a minute. does America supposed to have such tax hungry 'county'- local government entities? - I thought it's not. What kind of good, insulated, well built and well kept houses are there that shouldn't be the excuses for local government to raise the tax on it - or first of all, property price shouldn't be the item for taxation... Many things went wrong. How much people cram up and live in one city. That's one disease America seems imported from Europe. And then this disparity in 'finishes' and grades of housing. There are some shacks in the woods which look like almost old Europe's celtic or monarch stuff - resembles what shows up in the stories about old British farmers houses - or shelters - or old Christian monks' shelters - in the woods -or old Celtic peasants shelters. And there were native indians ways. and European ways - and Jefferson's ways (which I don't really know what he was thinking for ''public" - what kind of public - or average or standard housing and architectural cultures - he dreamed and wanted - for American people.) Simple calculation is like Okay cut up the wall and placing insulation shouldn't cost more than - say 50 or 60 bucks. It's not that much of a big job. *Big set back is that - some region of the USA has mold problems so adding insulations in parts of the houses can make house moldy and inhabitable. Duh. We have to do it very smart or we have to do it from the level of dealing with soil, water problems. *Then dealing with those structural level - our technologies aren't that good yet. To keep the house standing on 'water' - like boat - is requires people having attendance and being alert on those issues always. *Then the problem of America's housing quality sends us back to the problem of America's human building. How America builds a human being. Would they notice that why American house's have basements, what if water problem is there - how one has to be attending and monitoring it - what to be implemented - and how that affects whole other energy bills and health issue - mold problem etc. Then we have to go talk to - I don't know - This Old House guy, or John Edwards, or Robert Kennedy Jr (water, river cleaning and addiction etc.)

i didnt realize how small i was in this scanned foto .... until i found that lil dress today. =) . as i sat there unfolding it.... all the memories came flooding back .... my moms sisters house in superior wisconsin. . a big two story with a winding staircase from basement to the second floor. my aunt was a professional cake decorator... so as she worked on the cake & other baked goods in the basement bakery area... all the other women in the family were busy on the main floor cramming little buttermint candies into their gauze circles and tying with a bow.....they also made ham sammichs, sherbet punch & jello molds. . upstairs...there were dresses hanging all over the place ....both for the wedding party ...& all the family members who would get ready there....it was a flurry of happiness...hair spray....& undergarments i didnt understand. . taking a turn off the kitchen instead of going up or outside....you could turn around and continue down the stairs to the basement.... on the way down the dark stairs to visit my aunt... i remember i had to pass all the plaid hunting clothes... the guns..& the smells of the gun cleaning supplies & other workshop tools of my uncles. at the bottom of the stairs... there was a old lazyboy sitting in the middle of the big room on a rug with a smaller tv....a reading lamp...his ashtray...& hand me down toys scattered below the toy train table off to the side... . as you walked down the hall towards the bakery area...you passed by a shower curtain hanging from the ceiling that shielded you from the makeshift bathroom/shower that the boys would use. . all in all? if i saw it today.....i am sure i would think it was UBER creepy.... . my brothers and all the boy cousins were shoved outside to get them out of the way ......& i remember not being able to play with them....because i was suppose to be helping the women.....trip after trip to the church basement was made....we stored the overflowing food supply that was to be served during the reception in the huge church kitchen. this scenario played out many times throughout my growing years....as my aunt had 5 daughters...... it's amazing what touching a dress from 40 yrs ago can stir......
