Please make plans to join us at our next Apalachee Beekeepers Association meeting on Wednesday, January 15th at 6:30pm at the LeRoy Collins Leon County Public Library (200 W. Park Ave., TLH, FL) in Meeting Room A.

We are proud to announce the special guest speaker will be Dr. Jamie Ellis, Professor of Entomology in the Department of Entomology and Nematology at the University of Florida and head of the UF Honey Bee Research and Extension Laboratory.

The Apalachee Beekeepers Association is offering this event complimentary to all 2020 Association members. If you have not submitted your 2020 family membership dues, please bring a $30 check made payable to ABA.

We look forward to seeing you there!

P.S. Feel free to invite bee-loving friends and family as well.

Open Hive Demonstrations

Starting in March, we will have open hive demos before each meeting!

Since May 2011, we have had two beehives at the location of our monthly meetings. The hives were donated by Bob Livingston and he did the work on getting them in place with a nice fence. Thanks Bob!! We open them one time a month (the same day of our monthly meeting at 5:30 pm) during daylight savings time. Please bring your veil to the demonstrations.
