What do I need to bring

The hostel will be supplying bedding. The hostel is also handling the catering - see here for details.

You should bring with you:
  • Shampoo, soap, toothbrush...
  • A towel (if you don't want to rent one)
  • Waterproof clothing
  • Warm clothing
  • Footwear that you can walk in (there will be a walk one afternoon for all those who want to)
  • Power adapter suitable for Ireland
  • A power extension+multiway adapter
  • Networking solution (if you need one)
If you forget anything, then the hostel will rent you a towel, and has a small shop selling toiletries (toothpaste, ear plugs etc). We'll also be heading into Bray at various points to collect / drop off people, so you can always hitch a lift to the supermarket if all else fails!

(The hostel doesn't have a bar, but we are likely to do the odd beer run into Bray)

The hostel itself
In case you're worried about staying in a youth hostel - fret not! The Knockree hostel is a million miles away from grim eastern european hostels of years past. Instead, it's a light, airy, friendly place, in a stunning countryside location.

Not sure you believe us? Then take a look at the Knockree Hostel Pictures on their website! You can also ask on last year's attendees on the retreats@ list - everyone had a great time :)

(Accommodation is in their dorm rooms, but they're very nice, and not too big - see the pictures for more details. Room shares will be allocated on the basis of gender)
