AVIANAM, the Aviation Industry Association of Namibia, under the leadership of founding member, Mr Rudi Kintscher, was inaugurated by the Minister of Works, Transport and Communication on 18 August 1994.
Since its establishment AVIANAM has sought to combine different aspects of the aviation industry under one umbrella. The purpose of AVIANAM is to represent the interest of all concerned and serve all the different bodies in the industry. ![]() On 16 September 2010 an AGM was held where it was decided by unanimous vote to convert AVIANAM to AOPA-Namibia and to become a member and affiliate of IAOPA, the International Council of Aircraft Owners and Pilots Associations. Namibia will be the 69th member country of IAOPA and the 7th AOPA-country in Africa. |
