Summer Academic Booster Meeting on July 26th at 6:30 PM

posted Jul 24, 2018, 11:22 AM by Mark Muccio

Please plan to attend the Summer Academic Booster Meeting on July 26th at 6:30 PM in the main office classroom.

The next school year is right around the corner, 23 days and counting down!

The Warhawk Academic Boosters is comparable to the PTA organizations of middle and elementary schools.  We welcome you to attend our meetings and to get involved in any of the many ways we support our students each year! We are Warhawk staff and parents that volunteer with the purpose of promoting, encouraging and rewarding the academic growth of all Westerville Central High School students.

Every year we are pleased to help welcome all new Warhawks at their orientation, host May Senior Awards Night, provide refreshments for the "Students of the Month" Breakfasts, spring Teacher Appreciation Breakfast and fall Academic Honors Awards events. We offer Student Scholarships for academic achievement, as well as community service, leadership and community honors received.  Educator Grants are made available to our teachers and staff to enhance their classroom learning environments.

Additionally, we are involved in many facets of school life. Over the past few years, the Academic Boosters have purchased the television monitors in the Commons for visual announcements as well as recognition of special events. In cooperation with other booster groups in Westerville, we donated breakfast for the summer students taking the OGT. We also participate in enrichment and student recognition programs.

We raise funds to support all WCHS students and staff for scholarships and grants through special events and school activities for all students. Our major fund raising event is the Annual Arts and Crafts Bazaar held in the fall.

Please come join us at the first 2018 - 2019 meeting and see for yourself on July 26th at 6:30 PM in the main office classroom.
