I am an assistant professor at the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Bhilai in the Department of Mathematics. Prior to my position at IIT Bhilai, I was a postdoctoral fellow at Chennai Mathematical Institute, where my mentor was Prof. Priyavrat Deshpande. I completed my PhD in Mathematics from IIT Kanpur under the supervision of Prof. Nandini Nilakantan. I received my master's degree (MSc in Mathematics and Computing) from IIT Guwahati.
My mathematical interests broadly include Algebraic topology and Combinatorics. More specifically, my research lies in the areas of Topological Combinatorics, Enumerative Combinatorics and Combinatorial Geometry. Currently, I am working on the following projects:
Bounded degree complexes of graphs.
Generalization of independence complexes of graphs and associated Stanley-Reisner ideals.
Pattern avoidance in permutations and set partitions.
Collapsibility number of simplicial complexes associated with graphs.
Homomorphism complexes of directed graphs in connection with the reconfiguration of homomorphisms.
Vietoris-Rips and Čech complexes of graphs (in general metric spaces).
Programming in python to solve problems related to the above-mentioned topics.
