Antonio Bosnjak obtained the Electronic Engineering degree at the "Universidad Simón Bolívar" (USB) Caracas, Venezuela. In 1991, he began his Master degree in Electronic Engineering at the USB. He subsequently makes his thesis on "Grupo de Bioingeniería y Biofísica Aplicada” (GBBA) USB, where he was graduated with honors on October 22, 1993, obtaining the highest rating (20.0/20). In the period from 1992 to 1993, he was an active member of the GBBA, where he developed some projects in area of signal processing and trend analysis. During 1991-1993, he was a professor of the Department of Electronics at USB in the area of Digital Systems. Since 1994 works in Valencia at the "University of Carabobo" (UC) at same time, he developed research projects at the Centre for Image Processing (CPI-UC).

   Prof. Bosnjak obtained a scholarship of the University of Carabobo, complement with the scholarship under the Alpha-Beta project to develop a doctoral studies at the University of Rennes I, France. He obtained his PhD degree developing his research work at "École nationale supérieure des télécommunications de Bretagne". The presented his PhD´s thesis on March 28, 2003, entitled: "Dynamic Segmentation and Modeling: An application of the 3D Echocardiographic Image Reconstruction” (Order No: 2824), obtaining the mention "très honorable" by their excellent work. He is responsible for research projects in the areas of: Medical Image Processing, image segmentation, Echocardiography, classification and characterization of texture.

   In these years (2008 – 2016), Prof. Bosnjak holds the position of Head of the Image Processing Centre at the University of Carabobo and he is Professor at Department of Electronics and Communications, teaching courses in Electronics, and Image Processing respectively. His main research interest is the Medical Image Processing and Scientific Visualization.

   Currently, he performed an internship at the University of Ulster in Northern Ireland under the Research and Innovation Staff Exchange (RISE) funded by the European Union, called Project H2020-MSCA-RISE-2014. It is a Marie Sklodowska-Curie Actions; with the purpose to contribute with the Research of the project: "Wrist and Arm Sensing Technologies for Cardiac Arrhythmias in Long Term Detection Monitoring".
