Entering a new realm with this vacuum brewer. Popular back in the days, then totally forgotten and now making a decent comeback. Brewing the coffee with the vacuum method produces a smooth coffee since the coffee only comes into contact with glass and mixes with the water at just the right temperature (95 - 98C). My first trial run with Toradja Prince, 350ml of water and some 25 grams of course ground coffee went well. A tad too soft, so next time let it mingle (the ground and the water) a little longer. 1 minute or so before removing the heat. Cona is a British brand. Other popular vacuum brewers are made in Japan (Hario glass) and by Bodum, the Santos (Swiss).

This is my living room. I love drawing on the huge chalkboard! The sofa is by ROWE the coffee table is silver leaf with an antique silver leaf glass top. The chairs are from and the mirror is from Hobby Lobby. I ordered the Mongolian Lamb pillows from the internet somewhere. Curtains are Ikea that I adapted for my space. Flokati rug is also from Ikea. All in all it was pretty low budget, but I really like it.
