A couple of years ago, I purchased a Learning Tower for Red because she likes to help cook and bake. She prefers using a regular step stool, so the tower pretty much just took up space in the kitchen. It kind of acted as a divider for the two dog bowls until Bee came along. Bee is a bit of a monkey. She loves to climb. We suspected that it would be this way because she walked at a fairly young age and has, as most younger siblings do, the need to keep up with her older sister and her friends. Just this morning, I caught Bee standing on our pub-style kitchen table. And, she has already begun to master the big kid's slides and monkey bars at the park; something it took Red forever to even try. When Bee discovered that she could climb into the learning tower, it was better than the day she got her first taste of candy. She quickly claimed it as her "hideout" and began to use it for peek-a-boo, watching out the kitchen windows, and a storage spot for favorite playthings. Needless to say, I've also found a few snacks gooed up in there as well. She loves to play with her farm magnets and dance to the farm music on the magnetic board. It's pretty much become a morning routine for her to grab some Cheerios or a green smoothie and head to her tower. She plays with the magnets, then climbs in and watches the world outside her window. If you can't find her, just peek into the tower and there she will probably be. This picture was taken on one such morning. Still in some favorite jammies and her hair mussy from sleep, I caught her hiding out already day-dreaming the morning away. Photo was treated with Florabella Morning Glory and then converted to BW with OTSS Angels action reduced to 83% to bring in a bit of color. It is my pick for best face capture for the month of May and entered into the I Heart Faces photo challenge for this week (see link in the first comment below).
