Glass cutting tables : Essential home pub table dining set 3pc.
A solid, ribbed die-cast aluminum housing (not a tubular or sheet metal construction) ensures the necessary stability. The machine has double ball bearing aluminum pulleys, a sturdy machined table with a slot for the miter gauge as well as the coolant trough. The worktable tilts up to 45° for accurate miter cuts. The low noise 110-120V motor (high quality, for quiet, prolonged use) operates via toothed belt. Electronically controlled speeds for exceptionally accurate cutting (no subsequent finishing necessary) are available from 395 to 820 ft/min. A practical table at the outside of the machine housing indicates the recommended speed for various types of material. The blade size of 13/64" x 1/64" (5.0 x 0.4 mm) is ideal for fine work, allowing to cut even smallest radii. The machine is equipped with a vacuum-cleaner adapter to help you work in a dust-free environment. Technical data: Speed 395 to 820 ft/min (with feedback control); Throat depth 5 29/32" (150 mm); Max. work piece height 3 13/32" (85 mm); Table Size 7 7/8" x 8 11/16" (200 x 220 mm)(adjustable from 0 to 45°); Volts 110-120V AC, 60 Hz; The machine comes with one 42" x 13/64" x 1/64" (1065 x 0,5 x 0,4 mm) band saw blade (14 TPI). Note: The cutting of glass and ceramics should only be attemted in conjunction with the coolant system.
this was in readymade magazine. i had this side table that was kind of ugly so i did like the magazine said - and gathered a ton of paint chip samples, then i used double sided tape to stick them down. after that i had a piece of glass cut to size, which of course goes on top. total costs = $25 (the table was a hand me down so it was free).
A folklorist friend had her housewarming party. This glass table doubles as a display of her tool and jewelry collection. It's hard to believe that the table is actually from Ikea.

The Freud Difference
Freud manufactures some of the most innovative, technologically advanced saw blades in the world. To ensure that the highest quality products meet the toughest design standards, Freud owns and operates six manufacturing facilities in Western Europe. Freud is one of the few manufacturers of woodworking tools in the world that produces its own MicroGrain carbide with titanium, called TiCo -- a combination of titanium and cobalt. Freud develops different types of carbide for each application to maximize the cutting life and performance of the tool; and Freud also operates one of the most modern product development research centers in Europe. By overseeing the entire manufacturing process from start to finish, Freud guarantees some of the highest quality, most advanced products in the industry.
About Freud Industrial Blades
Freud’s industrial series blades were designed for the serious woodworker. Available in a variety of styles for different applications, LU blades feature thick carbide tips, precision-tensioned bodies found in every Freud quality blade. Some LU blades include a red Teflon coating that helps reduce friction, heat build-up, and gumming -- which prolongs the life of the blade.
About this Industrial Blade
This Freud industrial blade cuts acrylics, polycarbonates and other plastics, leaving a smooth finish without melting. By combining MicroGrain carbide tips with a specially modified triple chip grind this blade will give a clean smooth cut with less heat keeping, which keeps the cut edge crisp.
Use this blade with any stock that risks melting or warping, including all plastics.
Key Tech Specs:
1/4-inch minimum depth of cut
1-5/8-inch maximum depth of cut
-3 degree negative hook angle
Silver I.C.E. coating
This blade is covered by Freud's limited lifetime warranty.
The 10-inch Freud LU94M010 Plexiglass and Plastic Cutting Saw Blade is a heavy-duty, industrial blade designed to make smooth, clean cuts when working with a wide range of plastics. It features a modified, application-specific, triple-chip tooth grind, the long-term dependability of TiCo high-density carbide, and the anti-friction performance of Freud's Silver I.C.E. coating. And since it produces less heat than standard blades, you don't have to worry about synthetic work surfaces melting.

Modified Triple Chip Grind (MTCG) Tooth Design for long life and chipfree cuts in thick stock manmade materials
Negative Hook Angle minimizes chipping in laminates and melamine
Special Grind and Negative Hook Angle Prevent Melting
Built to leave a crisp, high-quality finish when cutting acrylics, polycarbonates and other plastics, this blade features 80 teeth with a special, modified triple-chip grind. Based on the results of extensive computer simulations, this grind helps the blade stay cool while it cuts so your work surface never starts to melt. The blade's teeth also feature negative hook angles, which helps prevent the blade from being too aggressive and further reduces the possibility of melting or chipping.
This blade is designed for optimal performance when cutting plastic and Plexiglass that ranges from 1/4 to 1-5/8 inches thick. This blade can also handle chipboard, plywood, or laminates, and it can tackle thinner or thicker materials. However, some loss of surface finish may occur when it is used outside its ideal range. It has a 5/8-inch arbor and produces a 0.110 kerf.
Well-Balanced, Anti-Vibration Design
This Freud blade is precision balanced and pretensioned for truer cuts under heavy loads. It also features laser-cut, anti-vibration slots that reduce chatter for a cleaner finish, longer blade life, and reduced noise while you work. And because the entire blade is laser cut from high-strength steel, you can trust that it will stay stable, flat, and true, even after prolonged use. Furthermore, this well-balanced, anti-vibration design means there's no need to use add-on stabilizers with this blade.
High-Density Carbide for Maximum Cutting Performance
This plastic and Plexiglass blade's 80 teeth are finished with tips made from Freud's application-specific TiCo high-density carbide "plastic blend." Formulated to extend tooth life in the face of work with plastics and solid surfaces, this blend is extra hard--due to the proportion of high-density tungsten carbide that goes into it--and it still offers the mix of improved corrosion resistance, heat resistance, and impact resistance that you expect from TiCo.
With teeth that start out sharper and deliver improved edge retention, the blade can go longer between sharpening, and will hold up longer--saving you time and money.
Silver I.C.E. Coating Resists Corrosion, Heat, and Resin Buildup
This blade is finished with Freud's Silver I.C.E. coating, which resists corrosion for improved performance over time. This unique coating also resists heat buildup, protecting your saw and your work surface and preventing the blade from warping. It also helps prevent resin or "pitch" buildup.
Since gummy pitch buildup causes extra drag on the motor of your saw, less buildup means longer tool life and longer blade life. It also means less downtime for blade cleaning, so you get jobs done faster.
This industrial saw blade is backed by Freud's limited lifetime warranty.
