Welcome to Exploring Antarctica

The purpose of this site is to offer elementary teachers ideas for teaching multiple standards drawn from the major content subjects through an integrated unit on Antarctica.

Our goal with these units is to expose and enlighten students to the wonders of the world. We hope to broaden their knowledge of global issues and the ways in which they can become informed and productive citizens of Earth.
