Why hire me as a professional researcher?

  • Have you hit a brick wall in your research?
  • Do you have a family mystery to be solved?
  • Would you like help researching your family tree?
  • Would you like me to look up material in the Public Record Office of Victoria (PROV) in Ballarat or Melbourne?
  • Do you need access to the the National Library, the National Archives or the Australian War Memorial in Canberra?
These are some of the items I have found for my clients:

An obituary that gave clues to the family's arrival in Australia

WW1 military record: explained mystery "the years between arriving back in England, assuming it was 1914 and arrival in Australia are a mystery"
1825 Convict muster showing employer and ship

Explanation of why this convict served the whole 7 years (unusual)

A newspaper article explaining the disappearance from the colony

1911 census records

Scottish birth, marriage and death records: civil registration

This Genogram unfortunately demonstrated that matrilineal genetic testing would not resolve the genealogical question of kinship between the two families.  Both families had lost many members during the holocaust and had also lost the documentation that would support family history research.
