Anne Keith

I studied at Glasgow School of Art in Printed Textiles, headed by the inspiring artist and designer, Robert Stewart. I returned later as a part time lecturer to the same department. I attended the Painting Course at Leith School of Art and various part time bookmaking courses. Awards include The Flora Wood Award, by Visual Arts Scotland and The Art Quilt Award by Shipley Art Gallery, Gateshead. I exhibited books as part of the Small Exhibition (2010) at the Artist book Fair, Scottish Poetry Library. My paintings were part of the Spring Exhibition (2009) at the Frames Gallery in Perth. Annually I have shown work with Visual Arts Scotland (2002-11) and with Edge: textile artists Scotland 2000-09. Making Journeys (2002-04) at the Collins Gallery, University of Strathclyde, Glasgow was followed by a UK Exhibition tour.  I live and work from my home-based studio in Edinburgh. From a background of constructing textiles I now work in painting, bookmaking and artists books.
