Saturday is usually an armouring day; but other things can happen as well. This past Saturday, it seemed to be an Arts & Sciences day, with Jen and Greg working on garb; Mikhail working on his shield; and Freydis working on a design for the shield.

Garb-making and shield-work continued on Sunday, with Jen getting her first piece of garb, a Norse under-dress, completed (despite Freydis's sewing machine acting up again; the joke was that she has a secret deal with Walmart to drive people to buy their own cheap machines, ha ha). Greg also worked on garb for his kids, with everyone hoping to get done for the feast next weekend.

Freydis, with Mikhail's guidance and input, designed a Borre-style raven for his new shield, that complements the Borre fluting work on the boss ring nicely. Pictures taken after the first coat are under Arts & Sciences Projects; more layers are being added to it to brighten the red and give it more texture.

If anyone wants to come out on a non-regular day to make use of the shop, just contact Mikhail or Freydis to arrange a time. Their schedule is pretty open.
