Malted Milk Chocolate Chip Cookies

1 cup butter
1 1/4 cups light brown sugar, packed
1/2 cup malted milk powder (I used carnation)
2 tablespoons chocolate syrup
1 teaspoon vanilla
1 large egg
2 1/2 cups flour
1 teaspoon baking soda
½ teaspoon salt
2 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips

1 cup of heath toffee baking bits (optional)

Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.

In a mixing bowl, beat together butter, brown sugar, malted milk powder, chocolate syrup, and vanilla; beat for 2 minutes. Mix in egg.

In a small bowl mix flour, baking soda, and salt. Gradually add to creamed mixture.
Stir in chocolate chips and heath bits

Shape into 1 1/2 to 2 inch balls; place about 3 inches apart on ungreased baking sheets.( lined my sheets with parchment paper )

Bake for 10 to 12 minutes or until golden brown.

Cool for 2 minutes on pan before removing to wire racks to cool completely.
