I am currently a Scientific Associate at CERN and Ramanujan Fellow at the Physical Research Laboratory. Before this I was a postdoctoral fellow at the Department of Physics, University of Pittsburgh, USA and a postdoctoral research scholar at the University of Texas at Arlington (2015-2018). I received my PhD in 2015 from Homi Bhabha National Institute, India, under Prof. Raj Gandhi.
My current research interests focus on understanding physics beyond the standard model. So far, the predictions of the Standard Model (SM) have been verified to a remarkable degree of accuracy, but there still remain some unanswered questions relating to the nature of dark matter, matter-antimatter asymmetry in the universe, neutrino oscillations and origin of neutrino mass etc. Motivated by these aspects, my current research focuses on both the phenomenology and development of the detectors which are dedicated to study neutrino oscillations and beyond standard model physics, such as dark matter.
I am a member of different National and International Collaborations around the world. I am associated with international labs like Fermilab and Brookhaven National Laboratory. In addition to my physics research, I continue to pursue a number of my passions including playing cricket, listening to music, and generally getting to be outside with my family which includes my wife Amrita, my son Ishaan, and with my parents.
