RESEARCH
My principal research interests lie in the field of context-aware pervasive computing. I focus on building context modeling and reasoning using ontology and Jessrule engine. Currently, I am building the PlaceComm framework for building context-aware applications using multi-agent paradigm. In the framework, everything is mediated by agents. The core component object of the framework is the central Context Knowledge Base (CKB), that is not only shared and consumed by applications but also contributed and enriched by applications. The CKB is built using OWL-DL and stored in MySQL server, which can be accessed and manipulated via an agent using ProtegeOWL APIs.
