Perception & Action Lab

Welcome to Angelika Lingnau's Perception & Action Lab. We recently moved to the Institute of Psychology at the University of Regensburg, while some of our research is still carried out at the Center for Mind/ Brain Sciences (CIMeC) at the University of Trento, Italy. Our research examines how observed, planned and executed actions are represented in the brain, and to which degree such representations are required for understanding actions performed by another person. Moreover, in a project funded by the European Research Council, we are studying the similarity between representations of real and imagined stimuli.
We are using a variety of different methods, including multi-variate pattern (MVP) and representational similarity analysis (RSA) of fMRI data, magnetoencephalography (MEG), eye tracking and transcranial magnetic stimulation (TMS).
