Perimeter Road West
First up is Piccolo Padre Restaurant for which I have heard good reports, next is Silly Hat bar, followed by the American owned and managed Cottage Kitchen Café excellent food serving a New Orlean's Cajun menu, best ribs in town.
Alongside is Blind Beggar, and down the alley is the Sydney Hotel (formerly Southern Cross).
Sugar, Girl Generation bars are next on the strip followed by Sakai Karaoke - a long established favourite.
Next come After School & Roadie’s bars, and the friendly, popular well run - American managed - Lost in Asia.
Clarkton Hotel continues to be a comfortable choice of accommodation with their in house Mirrors bar.
My Dentist is next alongside the Pommy managed Roadside Deli. On the Oasis Arcade, McGuire Insurance Agency continues to service the expat community, and the international Avis Rent a Car. Oasis Hotel is inside the Oasis Compound, and is the establishment hotel for Angeles and Clark.
Lady Flor beauty shop is on the second part of the arcade, followed by the expat managed NBC Computers. the Manila based Omni Insurance, and expat managed VIP Rent a Car.
Young-il Motors are next along Don Juico Avenue, along with Sapang Basketware, the popular Pumping Iron Gym and possibly Angeles' best night spot - R&B. Sum Na Ra Korean Restaurant is on the entrance road into theMaharajah Hotel. Seven Day Laundry is on the other side followed by My Therapist Nightclub.
The comfortable Niji Japanese Restaurant is next, and Aim High continue to make high quality wooden model air craft.
Community Medical Services, also a survivor of the Clark Air Base days, continues to serve expats and visitors.
Exclusive KTV is a Korean operated club, and nearby is the Perimeter Road branch of the BPI Bank.
Screaming Eagle is a popular expat watering hole and home of the biker crowd. Zapata’s is one of the most popular Mexican Restaurant in Angeles.Mr Wang’s Chinese Restaurant serves Oriental favourites with a Korean accent, while alongside whose only English signage signifies Kimchi 4 Sale!
Near the corner of Friendship Highway is Nihon Ichi-Ban Japanese Restaurant, one of the longest established Japanese restaurants in Angeles.
Fil-Am Friendship Highway
The predominant influence is Korean, and the area has been dubbed "KoreaTown".
On the corner is Round d' Clock Mart as you enter "Korea Town". Korean oriented hotels are King's, Valentine, and Halla. Opposite is the venerable Treasure House by Angie, which has furnished houses since the U.S. era.
Hyung Jong Korean Restaurant is probably the longest established Korean Restaurant in the area, offering a good ethnic menu.
One Stop Travel offers ticketing, visa extensions and tours.
Cold Drop Bar and Grill offers western food, and a popular stopping off point on the way home from Clark to the Subdivisions.
Sempai Sushi Bar is another long established Japanese restaurant.
Two food shops - Kamisama Ichiban (Japanese) and Hyung Jong Korean Mart are next on the road, followed by Jolly Frog Bar an ideal "one for the frog and toad" watering hole.
Close by are the Korean owned Shilla and Palace Hotels in Villa Sol Subdivision.
