Hello, 

I will be working at Rethink Robotics as Sr. Robotics Engineer from June 2016. I obtained my PhD at Purdue University in Electrical & Computer Engineering and in May 2016. During my PhD years, I worked as Research Assistant at Assistive Robotics Technology Lab (ART Lab) directed by Prof. C. S. George Lee. In 2012-2013, I was the Control Lead for ladder climbing task in DRC-Hubo team for DARPA Robotics Challenge (DRC) Trials. My research interests are whole-body motion control of humanoid robots and coordinated dual-arm motion control for various manipulation tasks. I graduated from Kwangwoon University in 2009 with Summa Cum Laude (1st/109) for Bachelor’s degree in Electronic Engineering

Oct 2016. I was invited to give a seminar on collaborative robots in ChungNam University in Daejeon, South Korea.

Oct 2016. I presented my papertitled "Dual-Arm Coordinated-Motion Task Specification and Performance Evaluation" at IROS2016 held in Daejeon, South Korea.

July 2016. My paper for IROS2016, titled "Dual-Arm Coordinated-Motion Task Specification and Performance Evaluation" has been accepted for publication.

June 2016. I started working at Rethink Robotics as Sr. Robotics Engineer.

June 2016. My journal paper titled "Extended-Cooperative-Task-Space-Based Representation and Control of Coordinated-Motion Tasks for Humanoid Robots" has been submitted to IEEE Transactions on Systems, Man and Cybernetics: Systems. Keep fingers crossed!

May 2016. I graduated and moved to Boston! 

April 2016. I was invited to give a talk at ECE695 seminar course about my research.

April 2016. I successfully defensed my PhD and received a job offer from Rethink Robotics.

Nov 2015. I was invited as a guest lecturer to give a one hour long talk in a robotics seminar class and the title of the talk was "Coordinated Motion Control for Assistive Robots."

May 2015. My paper, "Extended-Cooperative-Task-Space for Manipulation Tasks of Humanoid Robots" was presented at ICRA2015 in Seattle, WA.

Jan 2015. ICRA paper on "Extended-Cooperative-Task-Space for Manipulation Tasks of Humanoid Robots." has been accepted for publication.

Sep 2014. I gave a demo of our Hubo robot at the dedication ceremony of Wang Hall building for our ECE dept.

Dec 2013. I participated in DRC-Trials which was held in Miami, FL.

Nov 2013. I passed my preliminary exam and finally became a Ph.D. Candidate.

May 2013. My paper, "Cooperative-Dual-Task-Space-based Whole-body Motion Balancing for Humanoid Robots" was presented at ICRA2013 in Karlsruhe, Germany.
