After graduating U.C. Berkeley, Andy went on to become a radio news journalist at stations including KFI-AM in Los Angeles where he covered the O.J. Simpson trial.
After News Director stints in Phoenix and Chicago, Andy joined Clear Channel in 2000 as a leader in their online division.
Andy worked with the team there to create a nationally syndicated robust content offering for the company's 1,200 radio & TV web sites, and later went on to advise stations on online strategy.
In 2008, Andy joined Tribune & Local TV LLC to head up their national online content offering. Recently, he has been advising TV stations on digital strategy. He travels the country, working with stations on web content formulation and integration, social media growth and monetization, how to "bake a little digital" into every job and success measurement. Tribune TV stations have achieved record levels of traffic and revenue in 2011.
Andy lives in Glenview, IL with his wife Jodi and teenage children Becky & Jimmy. They have one cat, Troy.
