Some Myth about live wallpaper battery usage

Live wallpapers are like small apps/games running at background of your home screen, like any other apps/games, they will always consume the battery but they only use the battery when they are on the home screen and will stop running when the screen is turned off or in other app screen (Unless the LWP is not well written). So unless you are staring at your home screen for more than 1 minute at a time, you won’t loss much battery. And 3D hardware GPU rendering consumes less battery then traditional CPU rendering.

Wallpaper resets to default after restarting

Here is a common problem of live wallpaper: The wallpaper will reset to default after restarting.

This is due to the app installed on SD-card, to fix it, we have to move it back to the phone:

Here are steps to move the app back to the phone:

1. Go to Settings -> Applications -> Manage applications

2. Find the app and click it

3. You should see there is button to “move to phone”

4. Click it and it should solve wallpaper resets to default issues:)
