"I pressed my head against her belly..."

I pressed my head against her belly,

Since there was no pillow near, -

But I must have scared the baby, -

Sasha she kicked me in the ear.

What a way to greet her father,

Not with kisses, but with blows!

So I moved a little farther,

Out of reach of rock-hard toes.

While my ears were ringing loud,

While the tears welled up inside,

I moved away without a sound,

Like she didn’t hurt my pride.

You might think I got punked out,

But I'm a peaceful sort-of-guy -

The way I see it – I lucked out, -

She was aiming for my eye!
