"Little Robby..."

Little Robby, scatter-brained,

Lost himself inside his thoughts,

There, he lost his choo-choo train,

And two black TV remotes,

Books on butterflies, a map

Of the secret treasure hidden

In the woods, a baseball cap,

Ear-muffs and a pair of mittens,

Two red, shiny fire trucks,

And a zoo of fuzzy beasts

(There were tigers, bears and ducks,

And three elephants at least),

Carpet, bookshelf, dresser, bed,

Desk and chair, the lamp beside it,

And the photo of his sled

With a little boy inside it.

Losing track of time, enthralled,

And the count of the sheep, -

In a blink, he lost it all,

As he drifted off to sleep.
