"I'm re-learning to hop..."
I’m re-learning to hop and to skip,
To play dress-up, without reservations,
With a child attached at the hip,
With two eyes that reflect adoration.
I am learning to fly, fingers flailing,
And forgetting my daily affairs.
She prefers my hand to the railing,
As she’s hurrying down the stairs.
