Short Bio

Andrea Giorgetti received the Laurea degree (magna cum laude) in Electronic Engineering and the Ph.D. degree in Electronic and Computer Engineering, both from the University of Bologna, Bologna, Italy, in 1999 and 2003, respectively.

Since 2003, he has been with the Istituto di Elettronica e di Ingegneria dell'Informazione e delle Telecomunicazioni (IEIIT-BO), research unit at Bologna of the National Research Council (CNR), Bologna, Italy. In 2005 he has been a Researcher of the National Research Council, and in 2006 he became Assistant Professor at the University of Bologna, where he joined the Department of Electronics, Computer Sciences and Systems (DEIS). He still collaborates to IEIIT-BO activities and participates to WiLAB (Wireless Communications Laboratory). Since 2014 he is Associate Professor at the University of Bologna. 

During the spring of 2006 he was with the Laboratory for Information and Decision Systems (LIDS), Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), Cambridge, USA.

Research Affiliate and frequent visitor of LIDS, MIT, Cambridge, USA.

Senior Member of the IEEE.
