André is an Assistant Professor at the Western Paraná State University (Unioeste), Foz do Iguazu, Brazil. He is a Ph.D. in Computer Science and Computational Mathematics (2019) at the University of São Paulo. Andre's research interests are in machine learning, focusing on time series, data stream, and quantification. He has recently destined efforts to improve insect sensing, which involves data gathering, filtering, and algorithms for classifying and counting insects (disease vector mosquitoes such as dengue, zika, and chikungunya).
