Program & Highlights

Our goal is to nurture and stimulate each child in all growth areas. Children have the opportunity to explore a variety of learning center activities and hands-on projects in arts and crafts, science and math.  Language development is enhanced through enjoyment of books, storytelling, and each child’s creative expression.  Both Discovery and Pre-K Classes meet together in a mixed-age free play setting at the beginning of the school day before the two groups divide and meet in separate classrooms to focus on age-appropriate academics.  Once academic time is over, the two groups meet all together again for snack, music & movement and outdoor play time. This allows for social interactions that are so important to every child's social development.

Discovery Class is an exciting beginning preschool experience for the child who is at least 2 years and 9 months old by August 31st (turning 3 by November 30th) and up until the age of four years old.  For many children, this will be their first experience in school and thus our goal is to provide a warm and loving environment for the important growing and learning that will take place this year.   Socially, we encourage independence, cooperation, friendship, sharing and most importantly, self-esteem.  Academically, we use story-telling, creative play and hands-on projects to incorporate color and shape recognition, and language development into the way children learn about the world around them.  Discovery Class offers a 2-day program or 3-day program on Monday, Wednesday, Friday mornings from 9 am to 12 noon.

Pre-Kindergarten Class is a growing, active enriching experience for the child who is at least four years old by August 31st. Our goal is to nuture and stimulate each child in all growth areas, as we look towards Kindergarten.  Children have the opportunity to explore a variety of learning center activities and hands-on projects in arts and crafts and science, as they cut, paste, measure, categorize, count and observe the wonders of nature.  Our language arts curriculum presents the letters of the alphabet by sight and by sound through a series of "animal friends" who represent the different letters of the alphabet.  Pre-K Class offers a 3-day program on Monday, Wednesday, Friday mornings from 9 am to 12 noon.

For an additional fee, we offer an Extended Day until 1 pm on any and/or all days.  Children bring lunch.
