First real Toastmaster meeting

Hey guys!
Just wanted to invite you to our first real Toastmasters meeting this Saturday evening!
Saturday, March 6th
5:30 - 6:45 PM
Room B301
Drinks and snacks will be provided
If you missed the chance to check out the demo meeting last weekend, it's not too late! Come and experience the real thing!
At Toastmasters, you learn by giving a series of speeches -- you get to put together 4-8 minute speeches on the stuff you know, so depending on how busy you are, it might take only a few minutes to prepare. You also get put on the spot -- to practice speaking off the cuff.  You get rid of umms and ahs entirely (it's kinda eerie how experienced Toastmasters don't use umms / ahs at all), and you learn how to critique others' speeches. You also get applauded a lot, and give a lot of applause -- it's a great, friendly environment to work on and perfect your speaking skills!
If you come this Saturday, you can still sign up as a charter member (a founding member of this chapter), and run for any of the open officer positions (no prepared speeches needed, just nominate yourself). It'll be a shorter meeting, because of the quick elections at the end, and some logistics to mention.
If you've got any questions, don't hesitate to contact Wei or me.
Hope to see you there! Note that our next meeting (after this Saturday) will be same time, same place -- Saturday, March 13th, 5:30 - 6:45 PM, in Room B301.
We'll be using a mailing list after this -- there'll be no more all-FEMBA emails, except for special events and at the start of new quarters. If you'd be interested in staying apprised of future Toastmasters events and meetings, let us know and we'll put you on the mailing list.
