Homemade Croutons

1 baguette, cubed about 8 Cups
4 TBSP butter
4 TBSP olive oil
3 -4 cloves garlic, minced
1 TBSP Italian seasoning
Salt and pepper to taste
1/2 C. freshly grated parmesan cheese

Pre-heat oven to 375.

Place the butter, oil, garlic, Italian seasoning, and salt and pepper into a 9x13 baking dish.  

Place the baking dish into the oven until butter melts.  Remove from oven and add bread and parmesan to the baking dish and toss well to coat (bread will not be fully saturated with butter and oil mixture).

Bake uncovered, tossing every 10 minutes until bread is toasted but not overdone, about 30 minutes.

Turn croutons out onto cooling rack and cool about 30 minutes.

Store in a zip top bag or closed container. Stays fresh for 3-4 days.
