Anastasios (Tasos) Karantounias
Welcome to my webpage! I am an Associate Professor at the School of Economics, University of Surrey, an academic visitor at the Bank of England, an Associate of the Centre for Macroeconomics (LSE branch), a Fellow of the Institute for Sustainability at the University of Surrey, and a member of the Macro Finance Society.
I am a macroeconomist and my research interests lie in optimal fiscal and monetary policy, macro-finance, ambiguity, imperfect information and climate change economics.
Previously, I worked as a Research Economist at the Research Department of the Federal Reserve Bank of Atlanta. I have been a Visiting Scholar at Northwestern University and a Visiting Professor at LUISS Guido Carli and the Einaudi Institute for Economics and Finance. I have taught previously at Emory University. I hold a PhD in Economics from New York University
