I took these silly photos 2 years back, represent: see no evil, say no evil, smell no evil (okay i invented this one, LOL), and hear no evil. and here are the 16: 1. I'm cancer, born in 1974, July 6, George W. Bush has the same birthday as I, I wonder would i do the same things if I were a president? at least he knows how to dodge shoes. 2. I grew up in an oil palm plantation in Malaysia, I lived there until I was 18. (I moved to Singapore many many years ago). Hence being in green is very important in my life. 3. I love nature, and I'm very aware of the harmful things we caused by over using our nature resources. Hence I recycle, reuse and reduce a lot in my life for the past 15 years. our earth is a beautiful place, I am always amazed by the sunset, the beautiful blue ocean, the tender breeze, the fragrance of flowers, the beautiful trees and the list goes on... and we should do our best to keep it this way. 4. I love music ever since I was kid, as I get older, I love jazz a lot more, esp the older ones from pre-war era till now. My fav. r Ella Fitzgerald, Billie Holiday, Diana Krall and the list goes on. I also like early 90's pop, classical (especially Waltz) and R&B & Hip-Hop. 5. I love to paint but haven't spent much time on it. 6. I love animals, even the farm animals. Hence I avoid eating them as much as i can. Battery farming is totally in-humane. Animals deserve basic animal respect before they were killed and become your food, they are not dirt and they feel pain. Plus, ever since i stop eating poultry meat, my skin is so much better now!! and good blood test results!! 7. I live with a very adorable cat, called Louie, he is practically my son, we slept together, watch tv together. I used to sit on a rocking chair, knitting my days away while my kitty playing next to me, but thanks to Flickr, i'm no longer a spinster! LOL 8. I grew up with 2 dogs, and died of old age about a decade ago, they called Puppy and Brownie, they were my little groupies. they followed me wherever i went :) LOL. i also had 2 pet ducks and 3 pet chickens. 9. Right now, I work as a freelance art director between advertising agencies, I choose to freelance because I prefer to stay out of the office politics. 10. I love to cook a lot, i love to cook for my family, my housemates. I love watching Nigella and Jamie Oliver's shows. 11. I love traveling, I love the Medditeranean sea, Greek Islands are my favourite 12. Sydney, Australia is my favourite city. 13. I have 2 sisters and a brother and I'm the youngest in the family. 14. I love photography, I learned that in art school in the mid 90's, from developing film to printing in darkroom. My first SLR is Nikon FM10 (analogue/film), I just bought a Digital SLR this year, Nikon D80. Digital makes everything seems so easy. 15. My favourite breeds of dog are English Cocker Spaniel and Beagle 16. Part 1: I believe there's a God up there but man made theories and pholosophies of religeons confuse me 16. Part 2: I spend an average of at least an hour a day on Flickr. :)

Day 4 / 365 / 2011 - January 4, 2011
"This is What Happens...." .......when you work 64 hours in 5 days. I got home from work at 12:30 a.m on Monday morning. By the time I was unwound and ready for bed it was 3:00 a.m. I woke up at 11:00 a.m., and by the time I was somewhat functional, it was noon. Half my day off was already gone! And for the second week in a row, I missed my Monday morning breakfast out, thanks to my wonderful job. I had no motivations, so I spent much of the rest of the day crashed on the sofa watching The Cooking Channel. Should have cleaned, vacuumed, did laundry. Instead I stared at an endless parade of cooking shows. But I did learn a few things. 1. The perfect ratio for chocolate ganache is two cups of chocolate for every one cup of cream. 2. There is actually a cooking show called "Bitchin' Kitchen". The kitchen is black, pink and white. I think the cabinets were covered in pleather. The star of the show had pink nail polish and sequin encrusted high heels. She seemed like a cross between Elvira and a Jersey Shore girl. I must admit her chickpea stew with peppers looked pretty good, but I just couldn't get past the kitcshy overdone Brooklyn drawl. 3. Chuck can come cook for me on any of his days off! Oh, and I like his style of cooking too. 4. I am still a huge fan of Jamie Oliver and his style of cooking. I was rather surprised, however, when he threw four varieties of carrots into a pot of water, cooked them and then sliced them and put them in a winter veggie salad....without ever peeling them! I always thought you had to peel carrots. Guess not. 5. You do not have to be the winner of "The Next Food Network Star" or "Top Chef" to become a food TV star or get your own cooking show. 6. The best filming of a cooking show ever, goes to Giada. There is something about how they film it that makes everything, even the scraps of discarded ends of onions look lucious. I probably saw about 80 food dishes made and I doubt I could tell you more than five or six of them in detail. But it made me break out a cookbook or two and come up with some ideas for dinners at home in the near future. If I am ever home for dinner, that is. Why have I received not one applicant to our help wanted ad????
