This is one of the things which by it's very existance makes my head hurt. Because, for it to exist it also proves there are a lot of UNBELIEVABLY STUPID, PRETENTIOUS, HOLLOW people on this Earth that spend money on this "product". At $3.39 per 800ml (snooty, pretentious Euro measurements), this works out to $8.00 per gallon for WATER! It's just WATER! It is H2O just like any other water on Earth! It is chemically identical to any other clean water from anywhere else on the planet whether it be Norway, Fiji or Toad Holler, Arkansas!!! The "added value" (barf!) of this product is the fancy glass bottle which certainly must hold some exotic elixer in the eyes of the status-starved American roobs who buy this crap and all the marketing hype that somehow turns water into something more valuable than gasoline, milk or orange juice. It's just WATER! The VOSS website is filled with buzzwords like "artesian", "glacial", "aquifer", "carbon neutral", "discerning consumers", ad nauseum. Consumers are urged to "LOOK DEEPER" as if to admonish any naysayers with common sence who might dare to utter "It's just water." From the VOSS website- "You’re probably struck at first by the bottle’s unique design, but don’t let its beauty distract you from looking deeper. VOSS is amazing both inside and out."... They're telling you it's O.K. to buy their product because of the bottle's "unique design", while also reassuring you it's not a waste of money on slick packaging because..."VOSS is amazing both inside and out." IT'S JUST WATER!!! And if you buy it...YOU'RE JUST STUPID!!!

"Water water everywhere, but not a drop to drink..."
138/365 Looking at this cute chipmunk, i'm reminded of that old "thirsty crow and pebble" story... and even this little genius attempted to almost break the glass in order to reach in, but the only difference in this story would have been that there was nothing inside of it for him. But somehow this whole "Empty glass and yet desperately trying to reach in for a drop" frame reminded me of another grave story, one which is being replayed over and over again in today's world. Water scarcity. Drinking water scarcity and availability, to be more precise. Being citizens of a culture thriving in a water-rich environment, we have never really learned how important water is to us. Sure, we understand it, but we do not respect it. We waste water needlessly and fail to realize that clean water is a very limited resource. Now, I do not want to go ahead & start quoting the figures from WHO about the number of people who fall sick & die due to deprivation of water. But the least I could aim for out here is to awaken our conscience and to remind ourselves how fortunate are we to not struggle for it everyday. Come, let us become wiser!
