Our Mission
We understand the importance of providing, each and every animal, with suitable exercise and enrichment, companionship, as well as having adequate time dedicated to their care. We believe that owners should be able to leave their animals in 'qualified hands' when going to work or away on holiday, which is why we have both completed relevant qualifications, and dedicate many hours for continued professional development ('CPD'). Amity Pet Care were shortlisted as a finalist in the Pet Industry Federation Awards 2016.

Our Background
Amity Pet Care are based in Redhill, Surrey, where Laura has lived in the area her whole life, and Luke moved to the area in about 2009, and exclusively cover the Redhill and Reigate area. They've both worked in the Animal Care sector for a number of years. Laura started working with animals in 2005, and went on to study Animal Management at Merrist Wood Agricultural College, which taught her a range of skills in animal health, husbandry, handling, and care.
Laura was recommended for job at a boarding kennels after her course, where Luke was also later employed, as well as at the on-site boarding and rescue catteries, and also assisting in the on-side dog grooming parlour. Luke has completed a Dog Walking and Pet Home Sitting Professional Diploma, which has taught him a wide range of skills required for our work.

Laura and Luke decided to create a pet care company, giving pet owners more choice for professional care for their pets, providing a range individually tailored pet
sitting services, allowing the animals to continue their normal home routines.

Laura and Luke have over 15 years of animal based experience from a wide range of establishments, including a Veterinary practise, boarding facilities, riding schools, wild animal collections, and pet shops. The pair have also done lots of work with rescue animals, including fostering and bonding rabbits, on behalf of Happy Endings Rescue, and they both do home checks on behalf of animal rescues, as members of a couple of home checking networks.

Amity Pet Care's Philosophy
Amity Pet Care are a non-smoking company, and we do not employ any helpers, although our own family (all adult) enjoy meeting any of the animals in our care! Our own animals (our 4-legged children!) include 2 little dogs, 2 moggies, and 2 rabbits.

We use force-free handling and training methods, and have a number of different force-free, positive reinforcement based trainers we can refer our clients to if their dog has any behavioural or training issue.
