Supernova Driven Turbulence

Turbulence in the interstellar medium of star-forming galaxies is driven by a variety of mechanisms. One of the major turbulence drivers is the most energetic event in galaxies, supernova explosions. In this project, we aim to study how supernova driven turbulence amplifies magnetic fields in the multiphase ISM.

Below are a few initial tests, showing one, two, and four supernovae going off in a medium with very weak magnetic fields.
