STATE LEGISLATIVE ASSEMBLY

Few would believe that this imposing edifice, completed in 1913, was the town hall in the old Hyderabad State. The citizens of Hyderabad raised money to build it to mark the 40th birthday of Nizam Mahboob Ali Khan in 1905. This white gem of Hyderabad's architectural splendour was designed by specially commissioned architects from Rajasthan. This blend of Rajasthan and Persian architecture is now the home of the 295-seat Andhra Pradesh Legislative Assembly.
