Rug I Simply red
Rug I Simply red
This is a traditional Finnisg rag rug made with old clothes that are cut into stripes. My godmother is a very busy recycler and she cuts up a lot of old clothes, but she said she doesn't have the time to do all the rugs she has the means for. So I got a big donation from her and I could choose all these wonderful reds to make into my first rug with my own loom! The picture is a little bit out of focus but it has the most realistic colours, for the the other two I used a flash so the colours are not as true to life as this one.
A rug is transformed
A rug is transformed
Everything in my house is fair game as far as Genesis, my granddaughter, is concerned. I couldn’t resist taking this picture today of my newly designed living room rug. The flat glass stones have been carefully distributed around the rug to make boundaries for her stuffed animals, people, or other items. I don’t know where this is leading yet but I do know the resulting possibilities and adventures will have no boundaries applied! I love watching young children learn!
