The Opinion of the Venice Commission on the New Hungarian Constitution was adopted at its 87th Plenary Session

Brief submitted to the Venice Commission by a group of experts on eight cardinal laws of Hungary, that the Venice Commission is to review, and on the Transitional Provisions of the Fundamental Law.
The Venice Commission adopted two opinions on Act CCVI of 2011, and on Acts CLXI and CLXII of 2011 at its 90th Plenary Session (Venice, 16-17 March 2012)
An amicus letter was submitted in February to the Ombudsperson of Hungary requesting the revision of the Transitional Provisions of the Constitution, and it received reply and follow up in March.
