It seriously isn't something that God just made a decision to do, to make things hard for us, it is who They are. He cannot be or do anything. All His laws do you have to protect us.
This stuff were built into the main universe, including man while He created them.
He cannot do whatever contradicts Himself. You could call this the ‘Unchangeable Laws with the Universe. ’
The God of the Bible could be the Great Creator God with the whole universe plus the creator of the smallest component of an atom, that will be invisible to us.

This is why funerals of unsaved folks trouble me deeply. That is also why my main priority in life will be telling people about who God actually is. Those who never go to church, and those who carry out but never really understood what it absolutely was about.

You are not a Christian till you actually do something - as an example a oath to God that's permanent. Not solely attending church on Sundays. The martyrs of the Roman Empire knew first hand, that it meant not simply casual belief, but even up to life and death.
Consider it this way, if I'm going to reside in the USA I am really not an American - I am still an Australian but only live in the USA. I shall remain to be an Australian living in the USA till I am naturalised; this is when I have made a commitment or a promise of loyalty to that power. After that, I must abide by the laws of the land as a good citizen, which shows a sign of my continuing commitment.
So it is to be a Christian, I am able to live believing or even saying I think of myself as a Christian, but if I have not made that promise which is permanent and full, then I'm not a Christian. You are not born a Christian; even if you are born into a Christian family; likewise, a man is not lawyer because his father is a lawyer; you cannot even become a barrister by sitting in a court of law for many years, he becomes a lawyer with much learning and commitment.
As one person put it 'Going to church does not make you a Christian any more than going to Maccas makes you a large mack'. It is all about a genuine, significant, life long contract with God. And as you consider God's people down through Bible history, this is what you find.
God makes it very certain that religion is not an 'optional extra' merely tacked onto our normal lives, it 'IS' our life (now and forever) and all else is an 'add on'. You might say that my job is not my real job - being a Christian is my real job and my other job just pays the bills, even though I enjoy it. This is what God asks of us. Jesus announced "Whoever wants to be My adherent must put himself 2nd, and follow Me" Luke 9:23.
Real Christianity is an intimate relationship between me and Jesus, a close friendship with the all-powerful God. He calls us to be closer to Him than any other person in the world. Matthew 22:37-38 Jesus said to him " You shall love the Lord with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your mind. This is the 1st and great commandment. ".
