Sing You Instruments Of Joy

Yes, this is the time of the year when we remember, those no longer with us, or those who whom we would wish to be with, but, remember this, the feeling should be a feeling all the year round. This world is a troubled enough place as it is, let us, like Ebenezer Scrooge, see that light that shines within us all, and celebrate it, befriend it, love with it, be that light. Let us then, also, remember those less fortunate than ourselves, bring them some of the the glorious light, again, not just at this time of the year, but all the year round. Let us remember those immortal lines uttered by Tiny Tim, in Charles Dickens' A Christmas Carol,
God Bless Us, God Bless Us Everyone

Christmas Must Be Tonight

Come down to the manger, see the little stranger
Wrapped in swaddling clothes, the prince of peace
Wheels start turning, torches start burning
And the old wise men journey from the East

How a little baby boy bring the people so much joy
Son of a carpenter, Mary carried the light

This must be Christmas, must be tonight

A shepherd on a hillside, while over my flock I bide
Oh a cold winter night a band of angels sing
In a dream I heard a voice saying "fear not, come rejoice
It's the end of the beginning, praise the new born king
"

How a little baby boy bring the people so much joy
Son of a carpenter, Mary carried the light
This must be Christmas, must be tonight

I saw it with my own eyes, written up in the skies
But why a simple herdsmen such as I
And then it came to pass, he was born at last
Right below the star that shines on high
How a little baby boy bring the people so much joy
Son of a carpenter, Mary carried the light
This must be Christmas, must be tonight

On Friday afternoon (23rd November 2007) two people were  told that their  son had contracted Acute lymphoblastic leukaemia.. This is a life threatening but often curable cancer. On 24th November 2011 it will be his birthday, he will be ten.

Let our prayers and thoughts be with him and his family, his Mum, his Dad, and his two siblings

Be well, Jack
