As I was standing under a tree at the Jacksonville Zoo this huge Wood Stork flew onto a branch right over my head. He pulled off part of a small branch and flew back to the nest with it. There were so many of these big guys in the trees and I was told they were not placed there by the zoo but chose to take up residence there themselves. I was impressed by the Jacksonville Zoo and how clean and well maintained it was. My husband and I met my flickr friend nana_cindy 42 there and we enjoyed the day together. Cindy will be posting some great shots from the zoo so check out her photostream too.
Found wood engraving block 1930s?
Found wood engraving block 1930s?
A nice country side scene and the water looks good. I bought a box of linocut and wood engraving blocks at the market today, The 7 wood engraving blocks, boxwood, were carved on both sides. I was such a happy bunny the grin went from ear to ear. 2 tasks now, try and find out the artist. Most have a T carved into them. Any advice on how to clean them up a bit and keep them safe.
