How to mix warm + cool tones: Benjamin Moore 'Silver Fox' + warm mid-century furniture
The owners of this Brooklyn brownstone painted the living room Silver Fox by Benjamin Moore. It's a bold choice, considering the warm wood and upholstery in the room, but it works, thanks to the architectural details and the contrast with the dark floors. If you like this shade of gray but your room doesn't get much natural light, painter Mark Chamberlain recommends going with Benjamin Moore's Abalone, which is one shade lighter than Silver Fox. LIVING ROOM, XMAS 2009
LIVING ROOM, XMAS 2009
My parent's living room at Christmas. My mom is the Martha Stewart of the West Coast, and she did all the decorating, but not just that, she made almost everything in here! This includes draps, pillow, apholstering, wreaths, candle holders, stockings, and the list goes on and on. My mother amazes ne with her talent and energy. With the chaos that is my life, it is nice to know I can always come home to peace and order. How lucky and I?
