I am a senior research fellow at the Department of Economics and Management (University of Padova).
My general research interests are in the field of Operations Management and Sustainability.

In the field of Operations Management, I study Lean Management and the microfoundations of continuous improvement, one of the principles of the lean management system. More specifically, as microfoundations means trying to understand organizational phenomena by investigating individuals and their interactions, I focus on the role of organizational learning and knowledge management in shop-floor employees' problem solving behaviors and habits.

In the field of Sustainability, I study the relationship between contextual factors, environmental and social practices and firms' operational and financial performance.  My research involves both Western and Eastern countries and manufacturing industries as well as service industries (e.g., tourism).

My research has been published in the International Journal of Production Economics, Journal of Cleaner Production and Operations Management Research.
