Aloha! The Wright Lab in the School of Life Sciences at the University of Hawai'i at Mānoa is broadly interested in behavioral, population, and community ecology. Our focus is on basic science in ecology, but we have also studied research topics such as introduced species and disease ecology that naturally bridge fundamental and applied questions. An overarching theme of our research is studying how animals respond to variation in resource availability. We use a combination of field experiments, observational studies, and modeling approaches.
