Flowers from the Past
ODC: with a flower (for Our Daily Challenge Group 2) This piece of porcelain is referred to as Capodimonte style and was made in Italy. The flowers and leaves are made by hand, and you can often find fingerprints in them. This was a piece that belonged to my mother, dating back at least as far as the 50's. I always loved the bright colors and the variety of flowers. You can see some chips on the petals, and the bowl has a crudely glued crack on the back. I think that was from some rough housing as children and one of us knocking it over. I'm so glad to still have this to enjoy and remember.
