Grace Callahan, our oldest daughter, was diagnosed with dilated cardiomyopathy (a very enlarged, weak pumping heart) at 11 days of age. After an initial hospitalization, she was able to live a fairly normal life for 7 years. Her symptoms worsened significantly and she was listed for a heart transplant in January, 2010. She received her new heart on Easter Sunday! She is doing well and we are very blessed that she is back at home.
She is our Easter Miracle!
