Awarded with the prestigious Clarendon fund scholarship and Overseas Research Student award (ORS) for supporting his DPhil studies at the Oxford University (UK).
Adjudged by St. Catherine’s College (Oxford) as the best overseas student (2006-2007) and awarded him Overseas Student’s Award.
One of his review papers, entitled, 'Tribological properties and processing challenges of bulk structural ceramic nanomaterials' has been runner’s up in an all UK competition organized by the Institute for Materials, Minerals and Mining (IOM3).
Received the IIM (Indian Institute of Metals) student’s prize in 2007.
Awarded with the Academic Excellence (National) Award for excellent academic performance in the year 2004-2005.
Achieved grade A (10/10) in all the courses credited as a part of the M. Tech course at IIT Kanpur, thus securing a CPI (Cumulative Performance Index) of 10 on a scale of 10 and first ranking in the entire Institute.
Awarded with Merit Scholarship awards for the first, third and final year of under graduation (B. E. Metallurgical Engineering).
Awarded with the Traveling Scholarship (2009) from The Worshipful Company of Founders, UK, for attending International Conference.
Major awards received by research students:
Ankur Sharma's poster on 'Suppressing 'cation mixing' at high cell voltages for Ni-containing Li- transition metal oxide based cathode materials' has been highlighted as being particularly standout among 130 participants from 30 different countries by the Royal Society of Chemistry (RSC), UK in the RSC Batteries Poster event. He is selected as one of the six winners.
Bachu Sravan Kumar and Anagha Pradeep (PhD students) received 'Commendation Prize' in a 'New generation Ideation context 2020' organized by Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Limited (HPCL) for an idea towards 'Transition from non-aqueous to aqueous Processed electrodes for Na-ion batteries eliminating Health/environmental hazards'.
Farjana J Sonia received the 2020 Carbon Journal Prize for an 'an outstanding Ph.D. thesis in carbon materials science and technology'.
Manoj K Jangid received the ‘Best PhD thesis Award’, during IIT Bombay Convocation held in August, 2020.
