The Amala Trust raises money for the Amala Children's Home. The Children's Home provides accommodation and schooling for boys and girls from some of the most deprived families in a remote rural area of Tamil Nadu (in Southern India), together with other local children who attend Amala School on a daily basis. The Amala Trust (registered charity number 1063194) raises money in the UK and uses these funds to support the work of the home. All trustees are volunteers and take no payment for services. All money goes to the home with the exception of administrative payments such as sending out newsletters and fees incurred in the operation of the trust. We strive to make all these payments the absolute minimum.
